Australian Parliament House unveiled today Jude Rae’s portrait of former Australian Prime Minister, Malcom Turnbull, commissioned for the Historic Memorials Collection.

Huge congratulations to Jude Rae announced today as the recipient of the 2025 Wynne Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales for her painting Pre-dawn sky over Port Botany container terminal. Established in 1897, the Wynne is one of the oldest art prizes in Australia and is awarded for an Australian landscape painting or figure sculpture. Exhibition dates: 10.05.25 - 17.08.25.

Congratulations to Angela Brennan, Mitch Cairns and Jude Rae, announced as finalists in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Angela is in Archibald with a portrait of Bridget Brennan, award-winning Indigenous journalist and the artist's niece. Mitch is in the Archibald with a portrait of fellow artist, Stephen Ralph, an in the Sulman with a mixed media text piece. Jude Rae is giving an artist talk at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia as part of a program of talks for the opening weekend of The Intelligence of Painting. Saturday 22.03.25, 12 — 2. Jude is scheduled to speak at 12.25pm.

Announced as part of the Museum of Contemporary Art's 2025 program, Angela Brennan and Jude Rae will be exhibiting in The Intelligence of Painting, an exhibition of 14 contemporary Australian women painters at the MCA. Curated by MCA Director, Suzanne Cotter, and Curator, Manya Sellers, The Intelligence of Painting, ‘throws a spotlight on the energy of contemporary painting in Australia today’.
